Montage Beach Wedding

Happy June! We are so excited that Summer is right around the corner, how about you?

We started our June off with a gorgeous beachside wedding at the Montage Laguna Beach. This Hotel is top notch when it comes to elegance and treats its guests like royalty AND not to mention, the panoramic ocean views (its killer)!  Even if you don’t have the luxury to stay overnight at the hotel, its worth your while to at least wine and dine at one of the onsite bars and restaurants at least once!

Our client requested a bouquet filled with red peonies and wanted something summery and chic.

We decided to mix the red peonies with complimentary pink peonies too, added white lisianthus, spider mums and filled the bouquet with accenting red spray roses. We then wrapped the stems in a satin black ribbon to match accents on the bride’s dress.

We think this bouquet came out just stunning! What do you think?!

The Real Deal Cinco De Mayo Margarita!

We named this margarita The Real Deal because it’s just that!

Every Cinco de Drinko party (see what we did there?) needs a killer margarita and this one is positively a good choice. Seriously, this margarita is not for the lightweight and it will get the party started (haha)!

No margarita mix needed here…

What you’ll need:

2oz gold tequila (use 1.5oz if you’d prefer to start slow)
1oz triple sec
Juice from 2 limes

What to do:
In a cocktail shaker combine the tequila, triple sec and lime juice and shake for 45 seconds. Rim a margarita glass with salt. Add crushed ice cubes. Pour margarita mixture over ice and enjoy!

Make It: Moscow Mule

Lately we’ve been loving these Moscow mules! Have you tried them ?! If not, you’ve got to make one; here’s our recipe. They are the perfect springtime vodka-based drink – they remind us of a vodka margarita, if that was a thing.

Anywho, here’s how to make them…

What You’ll Need:

1.5 oz vodka

1 oz lime juice

Ginger beer

Soda or soda water

Directions:

Add ice to a highball glass (or the iconic copper mug, if you have one – we don’t.)

Pour in vodka and lime juice. Top off with ginger beer and soda.

Traditional Moscow Mules don’t use soda water but we like the bubbles it adds!

It’s that time! Time to share our go-to holiday florals. This time, Easter.

1. Tulips: We love colorful tulips for Easter; think yellow, pink, and purple.
2. Lilac: Lilac isn’t in season long, so when it is we like to use it as much as possible! It has a beautiful purple hue and a sweet fragrance that is amazing.
3. Daffodils: You really can’t fully enjoy spring without garnishing the house with this iconic spring flower.
4. Sweet Peas: Like lilac, sweet peas have a short season so we love using them when we can. They too have an intoxicating smell and beautiful vibrant color. We also love their wildflower look.

We are mad about Easter around here – thats why we’ve brought to you these super simple and easy bunny ears!

What you’ll need:

Plain headband
Scissors or x-acto
Cardstock or heavy duty paper
Bunny Ear Printable

What to Do:

Its SO simple. Basically, cut around the bunny ears on the template. Fold on the dotted line around the headband and tape the back. Done!
